FAQs

What’s the cost?

Yamaha lessons are excellent value at £11 per pupil for a lesson lasting between fifty minutes and one hour. There is, in addition, a registration fee of £22 which is payable at the beginning of the course covering the cost of the course book and related materials. Lessons are normally charged for twice a term in blocks of 6, 7 or 8, depending on the length of each school half-term. Optional lessons are also available during each school half-term, and during part of the Easter holidays. We always stop completely for the Christmas and summer breaks.

What does my registration fee cover?

The £22 registration fee includes an extraordinary number of benefits, including:
The course book and CD or USB stick
Theory Workbook
Free paper keyboard, if needed
A range of homework sheets and other supplementary materials
Use of school keyboards for practice purposes after 4.15pm each weekday
Intensive individual lesson before most examinations

If I sign up, what am I committing to?

By signing up for a course, you are committing to half a term of lessons. If you miss a lesson, it can normally be made up at another time in the week. If your child enjoys the course, you are welcome to continue further in the following term at the same time-slot, by signing up again with your Yamaha teacher at the end of the first course. Where appropriate, it is often also possible to shift to a faster or slower-moving class.

How can I pay?

Payment is made direct to the teacher via an online payment, billed towards the end of each half-term block. This is then passed on to South Farnham Educational Trust, which now administers Brighton Hill Community School as an academy.
